Why is it so hard for my 3 year old to understand her name.?

I am so stressed out because I will say "what is your name" and she just repeats what I say. I know she is smarter than this but she just doesn't seem to understand that all she needs to say is her name. Not the sentence that I'm saying. I hate to think that my daughter isn't as smart as she should be. Everybody already thinks she's strange because she hates everybody. Only people in the immediate family can touch her or she will have a complete meltdown. Anyway, she does know how to count to ten. She's answers three when you ask her how old she is. She knows her ABC's for the most part. She's still baby talking though, not yet holding full conversations. She can ask for what she wants though. Does anyone else know a child like this.
