Where can I download good free web cam recording software?

My web cam recording software was YouCam and today it promptly told me to update it. So I tried to, and long story short it's gone and I can't install it due to a "fatal error" that happens every time I try to download it, and system restore does not even bring it back. So where can i find FREE webcam recording software (and not just a trial).
