Should the use of gadgets (cellphones, handheld GPS, etc) while driving be banned in Canada?

This law is already in effect here in NS. The idea behind it is that the rate of accidents and dangerous driving are contributed by the distraction that holding onto cell phones cause. People that dislike this law argue that there is no real difference, but it is more likely a case of a perceived entitlement or freedom being taken away.
